Introducing Installment Payments For Memberships

We’ve just launched a powerful new feature to make memberships more flexible and accessible — Installment Payments. Organizations can now offer payment plans to members, allowing them to split their membership fees into manageable chunks. 

This update helps reduce upfront cost barriers, improves conversion, and makes it easier for members to commit. 

Overview 

Installment Payments give your organization the tools to: 

  • Enable installment plans in General Settings and Membership Types 

  • View and manage installments directly from the Member Section 

  • Create new plans with a few clicks using the new Installment tab 

  • Track installment status using new filters and columns in Payments

Enabling Installment Payments is easy and starts in your platform settings. 

Navigate to General Settings → scroll to Installment Payments → toggle it on

 

Please note, that installment payments are currently only supported when online payments are enabled.

Go to Membership Type Settings → click into any membership type → under Advanced Pricing, you’ll now find the Installment Settings toggle. Enable it to activate installment options for that membership.

Once activated, you’ll be able to differentiate members with a new column “payment plans” directly in the Member List.

We’re excited to unveil a powerful new addition to the Glue Up platform—Installment Plans, now available directly in your main navigation under Memberships. You’ll see new columns showing payment progress, due amounts, and plan status and many more — all in one place. 

What’s New on the Screen? 

  • Total Active Installment Plans 

  • Total Revenue from Installments 

  • Past Due Installments 

These insights give you instant context about how your installment-based payments are performing overall. 

A Detailed Table View You’ll Love 

The new table gives you rich, actionable data—each row represents an installment plan tied to a membership. Here’s what you’ll see across the columns: 

  • Membership Status — Shows the membership status. 

  • Installment Plan Status — Visual indicators like On Track, Past Due, Canceled, or Completed help you quickly spot what needs attention. 

  • Billing Frequency — Know whether a member is billed monthly, quarterly, or otherwise. 

  • Total Billed / Paid / Remaining Balance — Instantly see what’s been collected and what’s outstanding. 

  • Paid Terms — Example: 3/4 tells you how many installments have been completed. 

  • Next and Last Bill Dates — Helps you stay ahead of upcoming charges. 

  • Paid Through — The last date the member has successfully paid through. 

We’ve added a new More Actions menu for each plan: 

  • View Membership Details 

  • Copy Payment Link 

  • Add Task 

  • View Finance Details 

This gives you all the tools you need to act quickly—without navigating away.

In the payments section, we’ve made sure that recognizing the difference between payments plan is easy. Payment plan type is differentiated between lump-sum payments and payments in installments.
